Welcome to my London studio in which I explore print and design; work on artistic projects in the margins and inspire others to embrace their creative nature.
My name is Tammy, also known as Tabs, and I love all crafts which enable me to work with my hands to interpret botanical shapes and rough organic textures into pieces of art and design for textiles.
Despite being artistic from a young age, I followed an academic path to read Ocean Science at University and later ran my own business in Project Management.
My aspirations changed once I started a family and I started thinking about working around my children but also filling my own home with beautiful print and pattern. It was totally impractical to return to college with 2 toddlers, but it seemed possible to study the equivalent modules at home, often late at night after a day of work and bedtime reading, as though I were a mature student. For several years I have slowly but consistently studied with Make It In Design and Make Art That Sells in order to build up my portfolio of work and I am now thrilled to be opening my studio!
Here is the result of my journey so far. A collection of handprinted art work and fabrics; hand-drawn illustrations and surface patterns available as original pieces or as digital prints from Print on Demand shops. I hope you will join me in the next chapter as I share my knowledge and create beautiful bespoke pieces to personalise your home.
